Overcoming Body Image Issues
As the weather heats up and we start to break out our favorite summer outfits, it's not uncommon for many of us to start feeling a little self-conscious about our bodies. Whether it's a fear of being judged by others or simply not feeling comfortable in your own skin, body image issues can really take a toll on your confidence and self-esteem. We’re here with some tips for overcoming body image issues and staying confident this summer.
First and foremost, it's important to remember that nobody's perfect. We all have our own unique imperfections and flaws, and that's okay! Instead of focusing on what you don't like about your body, try to focus on the things that you do like. Maybe you've got killer legs or a great smile - whatever it is, celebrate those parts of yourself and own them!
Another tip is to follow positive social media accounts. This means following social media accounts that promote body positivity and self-love. Avoid toxic people or accounts that make you feel bad about yourself - ain't nobody got time for that negativity!
Exercise can also be a great way to boost your confidence and improve your body image. Not only does it release endorphins (those feel-good chemicals in your brain), but it can also help you feel stronger and more capable. Plus, exercising regularly can help you feel more comfortable in your own skin, which can make a huge difference when it comes to body image.
Finally, it's important to remember that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. There is no "perfect" body type, despite what society may try to tell us. Embrace your own unique beauty and don't compare yourself to others. You are beautiful just the way you are!
Remember, you are worthy and deserving of love and respect, no matter what your body looks like. Now go out there and rock that cute summer outfit with confidence!
Remember you’re worth all the self love that you’re baking up 🧁

Today’s question…….
“How can I create a balance of productivity and rest during the summer?”
Ah, the eternal struggle of balancing productivity and rest during the summer months. It can be so tempting to just lay in the sun all day or binge-watch Netflix, but we all know that too much of a good thing can quickly turn into a bad thing. Luckily, there are some things you can do to help you manage the delicate balance between productivity and rest.
Be realistic with your goals and priorities. If you know that you like taking it easier in the summer months, do not agree to do everything that everyone asks of you. It's important to check in with yourself and prioritize things based on importance. What do you want to accomplish this summer? Maybe you want to learn a new skill, read more books, or take more naps. Whatever it is, make a plan and break it down into actionable steps.
This will help you stay focused and motivated, while still allowing for plenty of rest and relaxation.
Speaking of rest and relaxation, don't forget to schedule in some downtime for yourself. This could mean taking a day off from work or school, indulging in a spa day, or simply spending an afternoon lounging in the park. Whatever you do, make sure you take advantage of the sun, the feeling of leisure in the summer, do something that brings you joy and helps you recharge your batteries.
Another tip is to find a productivity system that works for you. Maybe you're a morning person and prefer to knock out your to-do list first thing in the day, or maybe you're more of a night owl and get your best work done after dark. We love nights over here. Whatever your preferences, find a routine that allows you to be productive while also giving yourself plenty of time for rest and relaxation.
If you’re interested in doing time based methods to increase productivity, read up on the Pomodoro method.
And finally, don't forget to be kind to yourself. It's okay that routine isn’t perfect in the summer. With kids out of school, increased spontaneous social interactions and outings, it’s okay to take breaks and to not be productive 24/7.
Remember that summer is a time to enjoy yourself and have fun, so don't let the pressure to be productive get in the way of that. Find the balance that works for you, and remember that it's all about enjoying the journey, not just the destination.
Love,
E
One Minute to Positive Thoughts About Your Body.
Take a seat or lay down and relax for just one minute.
✅Take a deep breath and close your eyes.
✅ Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
✅ Repeat the following affirmations to yourself, either out loud or in your head:
My body is strong and capable.
I am grateful for all the amazing things my body can do.
I choose to focus on the things I love about my body.
My body is unique and beautiful in its own way.
I am deserving of love and respect, no matter what my body looks like.
✅Take another deep breath and slowly open your eyes.
And just like that, you've taken a minute to give yourself some positive affirmations about your body! Repeat this exercise whenever you need a quick boost of confidence and self-love.
Remember, you are amazing just the way you are!
